A Visit to the Cloud
February 21, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm HST
Where does your software run when you use a cloud service or a hosting center? Where did your company’s computing center go? What does co-location look like? How does our Internet service connect to the global network? What does it take to run a reliable 24/7 service?
This is a field trip to DRFortress. Come see what is hidden in the cloud. You will need a Hawaii State ID, a driver’s license, or passport to enter the facility. After the tour, there will be a no-host gathering to continue the conversation at the nearby IHOP (0.3 mi, 3269 Koapaka St, Honolulu, HI 96819, 808-492-1321). If possible, please carpool. Parking is free, but limited to 16 stalls. Parking Map: bit.ly/3XZFTn6
