Hawaii’s geographic location in the middle of the Pacific makes it an ideal location for emerging technologies to take hold and grow as well as a critical piece in U.S. military strategic operations. Pacific Tech 2024 will feature America’s Seed Fund Program Managers, Contracting Officers, Technology Scouts from multiple Combatant Commands, WERX Program Managers, Other Transaction Authority (OTA) Government Representatives, and Prime contractors seeking small business partners. This conference will focus on connecting small businesses with government and private opportunities to bring their technology to market to solve critical national challenges, including innovative solutions for our warfighters.
The Pacific Tech 2024 Conference, powered by the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) and in part by the Small Business Administration (SBA), brings to Hawai‘i a wide array of expert speakers to focus on the challenges of the Indo-Pacific Region, as well as the opportunities, including emerging industries like space and agtech.
This year’s conference will take place from October 27-29 in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Hawaii Convention Center. Approximately 200 attendees from Pacific region as well as federal agency representatives are expected to participate.

Since 1988, the State of Hawaii has actively encouraged local high technology companies to increase their research and development activities by participating in the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. Hawaii has the longest running state SBIR/STTR matching grant program in the United States. In fact, Hawaii’s companies have garnered over 900 SBIR/STTR awards with a majority from the Department of Defense.
Through the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), our state has supported over 400 high value SBIR projects by:
