What is needed to support the students who have fallen behind during the pandemic?

At the beginning of the year, student absentee rates soared above 30% because of the Omicron surge. School bus routes were temporarily suspended due to bus driver shortages, leaving kids at home for long stretches of time. A spike in fights at schools has highlighted the need for more mental health support.
