Changing Landscape of Japanese Consumers and Opportunities it Reveals

As Hawaii reopens to tourists, priority should be placed on leveraging data to stimulate the economy in these difficult times by marketing to individuals with a strong interest in Hawaii. Target markets can range from the 2 million active hula dancers in Japan, to those with second homes and/or businesses in Hawaii. Opportunity also exists in reaching new visitors that will appreciate our culture, heritage, and products by profiling our existing visitor demographic. With data and technology, a data-driven strategy can maximize dollars invested in marketing campaigns and ultimately yield positive results for your business and Hawaii as a whole.

SEEDATA will provide information to drive digital marketing strategy in the near term:

  • Changes in Japanese consumer behavior given changing demographics, and how it will impact Hawaii’s tourism industry
  • Changes in consumer behavior in Japan due to the pandemic from stay-at-home, health care and online recreation/education perspectives
  • Digital business trends including D2C brands, LINE marketing and other data-driven innovative practices

SEEDATA is a leading digital marketing company in Japan, with many international clients. Join the session to learn how the Japanese landscape has changed and how to adapt to the changing needs. Consider a digital marketing strategy to reach your intended target.

  • Panel discussion with Paul Yonamine (Chairman, Central Pacific Bank) and Eric Takahata (Managing Director, Hawaii Tourism Japan)
