ESports Panel Discussion with Activision Blizzard

PACE and the UH College of Engineering and UH ESports is pleased to host this free online event, featuring members of the leadership team with Activision Blizzard – the company behind such world renowned games, including Call of Duty, Candy Crush, and World of Warcraft, to name a few! Learn about the company’s mission and vision for the esports industry.
This event is open to UH students, faculty and staff, and members of the general public. Attendees will have a chance to ask their questions during a Q&A session after the presentation.

Madison Edgar is a global gaming, esports, and traditional sports expert with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Madison is a seasoned professional who has worked with some of the biggest names in sports and gaming and has established herself as a true expert in her field. Growing up playing Call of Duty with her twin sister made her joining Activision Blizzard a huge win. Madison is also a highly skilled director of partnerships. She has a natural talent for building strong relationships and collaborating with partners to create unique and creative activations to achieve common goals. She has worked with a diverse range of clients and organizations, including NFL, Playboy, Amazon, and has a proven track record of being “the closer”. With her extensive experience in the sports, gaming, and esports industries, Madison also has been learning and working with web3 gaming, giving players true ownership and control over their in-game assets. She understands and acts on the potential of each industry and knows how to create successful collaborations and partnerships that drive growth and innovation. Whether she’s organizing a global esports tournament or forging partnerships with key players, Madison is a true force to be reckoned with. She is also a dedicated member of the Activision Blizzard Women’s Network Leadership Team and Asian Pacific Islander Network and enjoys helping others with career advancement and career coaching.
Adrian Ledda is the Head of Inclusive Game Design at Activision Blizzard. Born in Chicago from two immigrants from the Philippines, and after studying Computer Science and Animate Arts at Northwestern University, he joined Activision in 2009. He has since worked as a Game Programmer, Character Designer, and Accessibility Consultant on the Guitar Hero, Skylanders, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Call of Duty series. Adrian co-founded Activision’s LGBT+ and Allies Employee Network and has worked continuously to secure LGBT+ equality and protections in the workplace. With a seasoned involvement and understanding of game development and production, his role at Inclusive Game Design within the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department at the company works to empower the video game teams to consciously consider and value practices, perspectives, and innovations that create respectful, diverse, inclusive, and accessible experiences and representations in technology and gaming.
