June 2021 – HAWT Monthly Meeting

Join us for a lively discussion on all things tech! The first half of the meeting will be an informal, open discussion on the topic “my career trajectory”. We’ll share our stories on how we got to where we are, expectedly or unexpectedly! The second half of the meeting is a project share by HAWT member Katannya. Katannya is a Data Scientist/Bioinformatician at a biotech startup and will share her side projects working with publicly available genomic data. She mainly use Python and R, but neither experience in those languages nor an understanding in genomics is required. Katannya will highlight how she use data produced by smart people at universities and funded by the government to ask interesting questions.
