Instructor: Walt Louie

If you are using a digital camera or phone with a built in camera, this intro workshop demonstrates how to edit your digital files and create movies with picture and sound. Explore the basics of how to optimize your footage, how to organize your project, and how to edit into a cohesive story.

The workshop covers very basic skills and then continues on to more advanced and creative ways to enhance your footage and storytelling. The software Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve are introduced.
Participants are not required to have either of these applications, but if there is enough interest, additional workshops will be scheduled to accommodate the needs of interested participants.
Premiere is part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite of software that can be rented on a monthly basis. DaVinci Resolve is offered as a free download. Specific information about both these applications are covered.

The workshop is intended for anyone interested in shooting, editing and finishing digital movies. All genres of filmmaking are covered; short films, documentaries, music and visual expressions. No experience is required.
Zoom login for participants. No need to register in advance.
