Join poet Laurel Nakanishi for a reading in celebration of her latest poetry collection, Ashore.

Selected by Carl Phillips as winner of the Berkshire Prize, Ashore has already earned praise in the literary world. Campbell McGrath observes, “Compassion for human suffering, profound engagement with the natural world, humility in the face of the sacred: these are the hallmarks of Ashore, a document of lyrical witness steeped in the language, history and mythology of Hawai’i.” Julie Marie Wade praises Ashore as “a visionary, courageous, and indispensable work.”
