Women in Tech: An Interview with Julie Yamamoto
October 21, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm HST
Brought to you by the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation (HTDC), TRUE Initiative and Entrepreneurs Sandbox, the Hawaii Women in Tech series features female technologists who share their experiences working in the technology industry in technical and tech-adjacent roles. If you are looking to gain insights into different roles or thinking about transitioning into the technology sector, join us for this live, complimentary session over Zoom. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
This upcoming webinar, we will be speaking with Julie Yamamoto, General Operations Manager at Hui Car Share, Servco Pacific‘s car share program, and one of Hawaii Business Magazine’s 20 for the Next 20. We’ll learn how this Hawaii Baptist Academy and UH Mānoa grad started her career in the male-dominated industry of motorcycle sales with Cycle City, eventually rising to become the General Sales Manager. Julie will share how she took the plunge in 2017 to join Hui, which was then a startup, and spearheaded its growth to become Hawaii’s largest car share company through a partnership between Servco Pacific and Toyota. Her efforts also made Hawaii the first location for the car-sharing service in Toyota’s global deployment plan.
Please register by Tuesday, October 20th at 5pm. After registration closes, we will send a Zoom link to all registered participants. Please note that this webinar is limited to 100 attendees. If you are unable to register, please contact Sarah at info@sandboxhawaii.org to be added to the waitlist.
