Astronaut Lacy Veach Day of Discovery
October 24, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm HST
| FreeOur annual tribute to Hawaii Astronaut Charles Lacy Veach, which began 19 years ago, has been pivoted to a virtual event in 2020 due to the pandemic. This has created unique opportunities as we have reached out for workshops and speakers from Hawaii and outside Hawaii. Participants will also be able to learn from 12 mini workshops and demonstrations, mini keynotes and participate in a Galaxy Treasure Hunt for answers posed by STEM professionals from Hawaii.
Participants will also be able to apply for one of 50 STEM kits provided by Hardware Science and be invited to several live virtual field trips and laboratory workshops to be hosted in November and December.
Highlights: no registration required
When: October 24, 2020, 12:00 – 1:30 pm, Hawaii Standard time
