Women in Data Science (WiDS) aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, ​and to support women in the field. The Hawaii regional event on April 30, 2021 from 1pm to 5pm will feature local data scientists and also students aspiring towards careers in related fields.

WiDS Hawaii @ University of Hawai’i is an independent event that is organized by local women scientists (June Zhang, Laura Tipton, Martha Crosby, and Thanh Truc Nguyen) as part of the annual WiDS Worldwide conference organized by Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work in the field of data science. All genders are invited to attend all WiDS Worldwide conference events.
